Selling websites like it's 1995

Bill locally, support locally, buy the servers wholesale. The business I ran in Denmark in 1995, and the partner program we are building on it.

Interspace, Skovlunde, Denmark, 1997. By then the business had moved from my bedroom to its own building.

I started making websites in Denmark in 1995. My customers were Danish businesses. I invoiced them in Danish kroner and answered their questions in Danish. The servers their sites ran on were bought wholesale. I added a comfortable margin, and my customers never had to think about where the machines were.

Each customer paid a monthly fee, and the fee included editing and updating their site. I set the price and the level of support for each customer separately, depending on what they needed. A shop that changed its offers every week paid for that. A small workshop that changed its opening hours twice a year did not.

The customer did not buy hosting. They bought someone local who kept their website current.

The same business in 2026

That business still works, and today the numbers are better for the designer. Hosting a site on InboundSavvy costs $30 for the first year, with the site builder and AI editing over MCP included. A designer can charge a restaurant a monthly fee to keep its menu current and write a post about the new seasonal dishes. The restaurant pays the way people in its town pay, by mobile wallet or bank transfer, and asks its questions on WhatsApp, in its own language.

The designer sets the price and owns the relationship. We run the infrastructure underneath: the builder, hosting, SSL, analytics and AI editing. The business stays the registered owner of its own domain, whoever builds the site.

Your clients, kept apart

A designer with twenty clients needs twenty sites in one place. Our access system handles that. The designer can open every site they manage. Each client can open their own site and nothing else. No client can see or edit another client's site.

Build first, pay at publish

A designer starting out has no budget, so drafts are free. Log in, build a site for a business you want to pitch, and show it to the owner before anyone pays anything. A card is needed only when the site is published. A draft that nobody touches for 120 days is cleaned out.

Every sale lowers your cost

Partners will earn credit on every site they sell and every training course they finish, and the more sites they sell, the more each one earns. Credit spends like money on InboundSavvy: a client's hosting, a domain, the partner's own website, or merchandise.

Here is why that matters for a designer. Your client pays you locally, in their own currency, the way they already pay for things. You pay us with the credit you have earned. The whole payment stays in your pocket, with no international transfer and no currency fees. Larger balances can also be paid out in cash.

Tiers you grow into

Partners move up in tiers. Each tier brings more training, a higher place when we list our partners, and more exposure from us. Partners in the highest tier in a country are the first names a business there sees. A student with one client and a studio with fifty are on the same path, at different points.

If you build websites for other people, and some of the businesses you want to serve could never pay for an agency, we would like to hear from you.
